CPA crane hire.
Every crane we supply comes with an experienced, qualified operator and is maintained to the highest safety and compliance standards, giving clients confidence that equipment and personnel are fully aligned with the demands of the lift.
Selecting the right crane is one of the most important decisions in any lifting operation. Get it wrong and a project can face delays, unnecessary cost or unsafe working conditions. That’s why we work closely with clients from the outset, assessing load, access, ground conditions and site constraints to match the correct crane and configuration to the job in hand.
A collaborative approach.
This close collaboration means clients benefit from expert guidance rather than a standard hire arrangement. Our depth of fleet and supply network gives us the flexibility to respond to changing project requirements, while our focus on correct crane selection helps maximise efficiency and keep lifting operations safe and productive on site.
Whether hired as standalone equipment or as part of a wider integrated solution alongside our contract lifting and haulage services, our crane hire is backed by the same commitment to safety, reliability and practical, client-focused planning.
Whats included?
Crane hire and contract lifting use the same cranes and the same operators. The difference is who plans and runs the lift.
Crane hire suits you if you’ve got your own Appointed Person and lifting team. We supply the crane and operator, and you stay in charge of the lift.
With contract lifting, you hand the whole lift over to us. We visit the site, choose the crane, write the method statement and risk assessment, and supply the Appointed Person and slinger/signallers. Insurance is included too.
Not sure which you need? Tell us about your team and what you’re lifting and we’ll point you to the right one.

How crane hire works.
1. Get a Quote
Tell us the size of crane you need, the site address, the date and how long you need it for. We’ll check availability and send you a quote.
2. Book your Crane
Once you’re happy with the quote, confirm the date and we’ll book in the crane and operator. Before the day, your Appointed Person will need to plan the lift and make sure the ground and access are suitable for the crane.
3. On the Day
Our operator arrives with the crane at the agreed time, sets up and works under the direction of your lifting team. When the job’s done, your site contact signs the operator’s timesheet.
Our sectors:
VERTEX and the INDUSTRO Engineering Group had a specific need for steel loads to be safely transported to site, and then lifted in to place in a logistically challenging environment. We needed to engage with a team with the capability and experience to deliver both aspects seamlessly, who were also lean enough to offer the flexibility that a project of this nature requires. Buzzard offered us an integrated specialist haulage and lifting solution, offering logistical ease and bringing cost saving solutions as we could deal with them as the sole provider of these services. The project was delivered flawlessly.

Our projects regularly involve challenging environments, including top-tier COMAH sites, live operational plants and marine/jetty facilities, where safety, planning and professionalism are absolutely critical and non-negotiable. Buzzard Lifting consistently demonstrate a high level of technical competence and professionalism, from initial planning through to safe execution on site. Their team works seamlessly alongside our own project teams and clients, always maintaining the high standards of safety and conduct we and our clients expect. We have complete confidence in their ability to support INDUSTRO and its wider group both on routine and complex lifting operations and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Buzzard have handled numerous haulage jobs for us without fail. Every load has arrived exactly when promised, and if we’ve ever needed something arranged at short notice, they’ve responded quickly and sorted it. Health and safety is clearly built into how they operate, not just talked about, which matters a lot to us. They’re straightforward and easy to deal with throughout, and that reliability is exactly why we keep coming back to Buzzard.

FAQ's.
What size of crane will I need for my lift?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, so we don’t guess. Once you’ve told us the weight, dimensions, site location and timescale, we carry out a site survey to check access, ground conditions and any overhead obstructions. Our Appointed Person then uses that information to select the right crane and produce a lift plan, so the method is agreed before any equipment moves.
How quickly can you respond to a crane hire enquiry?
Get in touch by phone, email or our enquiry form with the basics; what needs lifting, where, and when, and a member of our team will come back to you the same day to talk through the detail and next steps.
Got a lift coming up?
Send us the load, the site and the window. We’ll come back with the right crane and a price.
